Default Car Wraps

Has anyone done a car wrap on a xB2? I've seen tons of xB1's with wraps but usually as an advertisement. I'd like to see wraps as design. I found this on CarDomain and thought it was pretty sick. I know there's lot of places that do wraps but don't know how to get designs like this without being a graphic designer.

You have to work with the sign companies graphic designed. Just be aware they trim the vinyl right on the vehicle and I have seen several cuts into the clear coat and paint from wrap installations. Do a partial wrap. BTW...the big graphics like these are not as popular and was ranked by SEMA as "going out-of style" less is more concept is the big thing now. Unless, your advertising your business.

2500-4500.00 depending on the coverage. Lot less if you just mix vinyl lettering with printed vinyl.

Thanks for the info. Definitely too much money for something I'm not sure about in the first place.

This sounds about right, I got a quote to do a design that covered about half the car overall as a wrap and they quoted me a price of about $1200.

That's way impressive.

I wish I had the extra dough to throw down on something like that... don't those protect the paint fairly well?

If you're wondering, the red and white xB is Nate's from Warehouse Wraps in Orlando.

He did El Jorge's Yodabox here on SL and I'm looking to have him do a Transformers half-wrap.

Here's El Jorge's:

3-5 years depending on the wear sometimes longer, make sure they are qouting you cast vinyl with cast overlaminate otherwise it def wont last at all.

You can always get cut vinyl graphics for a bit cheaper but your looking at alot simpler design and alot more maintenance. You can also still win graphic awards with cut vinyl art as oppossed to wrapping the car. With that said I will be getting into wrapping cars here pretty soon, just gotta get the MX stuff off the ground first.

the qoute on the price is accurate as well, but dont forget about design time for the GD doing the graphics
