DIY: Install Rumion Mudflaps! (56k Widowmaker!)
#41
well after about 2 months of them sitting in the box in my house i got time to put these on. it seems to me that on the front flaps they were designed to actually fit a little more snug, the two round things that the two stock screws go into seem like they should be removed, because if you look on the back of the flap they have the same round shape. so instead of fitting snugly they are kind of stacked. but over all i am not that dissapointed, just they could fit a little more snugly. but then again it might be my fault. thanks for the write up, i wouldn't have done this with out it! if you don't have a jack you can just back it up over a curb or a parking block and it will give you plent of clearance.

Newbie here.....realize this thread dates back a ways, but just wanted to say a big thank you to "Bigfieroman" for the great pictorial on the installation of the mudflaps. I'm the proud owner of a new 2011 BSP xB and I had been looking all over for a set of mudflaps. I didn't feel like I wanted to spend $250-$300 to special order the mudflaps from Toyota and although I had found the ones on e-bay (philsohn) referenced in this thread I didn't make the purchase till I read the comments here. I was very pleased with the quality and fit of the flaps off e-bay, but the great pictures and the written explanation made the install go smooth. Not only did I not get instructions written in English, I didn't get any instructions at all. So thanks "bigfieroman", if you're still around, the pictures and the written explanation were a life saver!
