most places charge like 1500 for a full wrap job. for that i rather respray the car. you can always do it like they do on 240s and stuff and do patching work but it looks like sh/crap

I have been reasearching this and it seems that the vinyls used have a 3-5 year lifespan in outdoor applications and a much longer one indoors. Can be applied with a squeegee and heat gun set around 200F. The newer versions of the vinyl made by 3M have tiny air holes that allow bubbles out when applying the film. You can find all sorts of colors and even a life like feel and look of carbon fiber. The cf application is refered to as Di-NOC. Cheaper than real carbon fiber, but immitation. They showed tests where they applied clear coat on top of the cf and it looks good, but they wont recommend it and say that you should test small areas before doing large projects due to lack of experimentation. There are also 7 different colors for the cf, most are white, gray, and black.
