it was the center part that stood out to me...and the first thing that popped into my head was daewoo...just expressin my opinion
it actually looks more like the grille from a mitsu diamante but for some reason daewoo stood out
or the mitsu montero

Ugh. That's like a vintage Kia Sephia. Garbage on wheels.
Please, don't ever, ever associate a quality brand like Toyota with Daewoo ever again.

Holy crap!!!!! $1,599 - $1,999 for that Billet grill for the XB!! OMG!!! I sure hope there will be a plastic one made, that is just insane. Way way way insane. I would buy a cheap plastic one, and when (or if) it ever goes bad and i don't know, breaks? I guess? Then I would buy another one. I could buy like 40 of the plastic ones for one of the Billet ones. That is rediculous. I could buy a nice used motorcycle for that!!

I do have to mention though that the grill is the BEST on I have ever seen, and yes it is original, but either you sell a couple at $1999 a pop or you sell Thousands at $350. Personally from a business stand point, it is a no brainer. The more you sell, the bigger advertisment for your company and more repuation. Hence better sales on the rest of your stuff as well. If you are not planing on growing as a company and stay real small, then I guess I can see the very high pricing.

If I remember correctly, it takes something like eight hours for their new 5-Axis milling machine to cut one of those -- makes it expensive. Marshall seemed to think a plastic version wouldn't work out because it would have to be simplified, but would still be expensive similar to JDM imports.

Ok, hey if it works for him and it will sell really well at that much money, then all the luck to him. I know I would never pay that much for a front grill. I mean, that is like 10% of the whole price of the vehicle! Even more than that. I just think that most owners of an XB bought the vehicle for the price. I love the room inside, but the price and for what you get is what to look at. Hence would not think about paying so much for a grill. Just my 2 cents.

From what he said earlier, I get the impression anytime one sells, it'll be a surprise. He seems to consider it more a ForjWorks demonstrator/signature piece than a real world product. Expected volume essentially zero.

there was one person that actaully bought one these grilles. Not many would buy this grille. so its more as a product that is some what custom made and not mass produced. This keeps it original and whored out. like i posted earlier. its more of a peice to showcase what we are able of making.

Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely piece and it truly does showcase the possibilities. It's just a shame it doesn't hint at what might become available to the more average enthusiast ! I was seriously interested myself, but as time went by, it became apparent other products were more realistic for me. As it is, I'm very pleased with my eBay billet grill (though it took a lot of time to optimize it). I salute your grill and perhaps something will eventually become available that's more affordable. Best wishes -- Trevor !
