sorry guys we got caught up with gettting the XD eyelids into Market and production we had to put this grill on the side.

THis grill isnt as easy to design and produce as it may seem.

We should have this out shortly.

IF any of you are in florida the Grill was on the build off XB for SET.

it was on Steve Saporito of Scionpro.com, Ivan Garneff, owner of the UM / UF Lunchbox project car. I hope someof you had the chance to see it in Florida and future shows in the east coast.

So quick question:

Is the finished product this?:

Size: 132.5 KB

Or will it be this?:
Name: DSC02103-2.jpg
Views: 90
Size: 129.7 KB

I like the second one better and would definitely go for that one.

IT neither.. the finished product will be a little but of both.. but more like the top pic.. but we added 2 more fins at the ends to fill the gap.

You will able to get it like the lower pic.. with black fins but than why paint a beutiful peice of billet aluminum? That lower grill was just a test model to see if we could do it.. and was made of MDF so it had to be painted.

im sure the grill will be released soon. as i know its not going to be a mass produced item like the eyelids. It will be made to order.

Well... it seems to flow better with the box to me. So if it I can get it like the lower pic, that's definitely the one I want to go with. It just looks really good from the initial test fitting.

As long as it's not too expensive I'll definitely pick up one. I'm really liking what I'm seeing.

I am definitely interested in having this grill. This is the best looking grill (My opinion). I know you guys have spent some money/hrs on development. I'm willing to pay what you think is fair for a quality piece like this

If I can get the fins in black with the Scion badge in the center, I'm all for it. The price can't be anything way out there. I think $350 is the most I'd pay for it, but I could probably stretch it to $400. Anything higher and it isn't worth it to me, unless it comes with a couple $100 bills.

EDIT:
I think $400 is the most you should charge for it based on the fact that people buy complete body kits for around $1000 and then the paint for $500? That's 4 parts you're buying typically for a lip kit, which breaks down to around $250 for each piece and $125 for the paint. That's a total of $375 for each piece painted.

If you charge too much for it, you're going to turn people off your product. A ScionLife discount code would be cool, too.

update? i think the option to have either the fins or the outer part colored matched to the car might be better... would love to see HTM fins with a billet aluminum border or vice versa!

I'm also interested in this piece, but have no idea what I'd pay for it. Look absolutely brilliant though...

Sorry guys for the long wait.. We cant find time to get this project back up on the mill.. over 20 hours of cutting.. and this car stuffs dont pay the bills so money making jobs get priority over this grill.

I cant wait myself to get this on my car.. the prototype is in florida.

What a convenience! I'm in Florida, too!

Seeing that I'm desperate to get this on my box, have you set a price for it yet? I'd pay in advance for you to manufacture me one if it's going to come out looking that good. And again, the type I'm interested in is the original prototype you machined:

$400 shipped is the most I'd pay. Anything over 450 would be a stretch for me.

Thanks for your interest but Beleive it or not i think you wouldnt want it like that prototype..Its made of MDF.

THey didnt set the price yet. Just a thought.. It takes min 20 hours to cut.. and thats just the labor $$$$$$.. go to a machine shop show them this pic and tell them you want this in billet aluminum.. Also remeber these will made to order so this isnt a mass produced part.

Just thought I could get in a custom order a little early.

It will, but I'm not sure when Forjworks will actually start the production.

They told me that it'll be a while before this goes into production. There isn't even a price on it yet, either. It'll be all billet, so the price, I'm assuming will be $350 or so before shipping.

From what I gather, it looks like there's about 4-5 people on ScionLife who wants this product, not including the guy from Forjworks.
