I'll get there.
I dig how they look! Anyone want some almost new TYC's? :D

Sorry for the lagged reply... Been a bit tied up lately.
I'll be getting the same design w/ blacked out interior, so we'll see how that looks. The manufacturer said he can do a red-out and integrate the reflector into the lower lens. He doesn't like the clear "reverse lamp" piece since it will not be a commonly modded item. I'll get some pics of the black-out ones up when they're installed on Dietter's car

and then look at the feedback its gotten from all the SL members
and then think about people who are going to shave theirs off, or whatever
If the tails were there, they'd create the mod market for themselves IMO

is it at all possible to make two models? one for people who like the "handicaped one sided isnt bright enough anyway" reverse light and one for those who want to shave theirs. If you could make both you would be the only on the market to integrate the reverse lights (other than the rumion tails but you need to buy the bumper as well or it doesnt fit right) and you could still sell to the majority of the scion owners with the regular one. SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN TO ME!!!!

I'll see what the manufacturer says to doing 2 models. Does anyone local (Los Angeles) have a reverse light mod (besides Chris!!) on their xB2? If I can take a look, maybe we can just make a kit for it. It (logically) shouldn't be hard to do, but the installation is the main concern. Is it easy enough to trust the general public to install.

OK don't bite my head off.
Why would you want to Shave off the reverse light by the Bumper? To be more "unique" or look like all other bumpers out there?
Yes the reverse light could be brighter but thats an easy fix with a high power LED bulb?
Looking at it from a manufactures point off view, its simple economics, Supply vs. Demand! I honestly do not see most second gen xB owners doing the bodywork and relocating there reverse lights. So in the end the manufacture would loose more than gain a profit. Yes its not hard to do and with simple instructions any one can do it. I just think that there would have to be a real outcry for it, so far there are only 3 people on this post.
IMO i really like the location of the reverse signal, it 'UNIQUE' and most people that I have talked to agree that it is a different look. something that no other vehicle brand has.
I currently have the Anzo Lights and they look good, but the entire LED's do not light-up, just the bottom half. The top section is used for turn signals. These are full LED use
I cant wait to see the latest version.

REALLY? i dont think everyone wants to go through the hassel of getting their bumper shaved and repainted when you could get a flush cap like piece made and color matched a lot easier and cheaper... PLUS if you want to sell the car you can take it off and put it back to stock with the reverse light.

The manufacturer didn't respond all too well for the adding of the reverse lamp (or manufacturing both types- w/ and w/o lamp). He said if the current ones do well, he'll look into the release of the reverse lamp added version. So that's some good news.
Here are a few pictures of the smoked lens version. It's a light smoke with a medium-dark chrome inside. During the day, it'll look almost clear. At night, it looks dark. The first picture is the best to represent how it looks (taken at approx 7:00-7:30pm PST). The Camera was over compensating for the lack of light, so it looks like bright daytime pictures in the latter photos.
Changes to this version: 2nd LED added on each strip, so it's shining from both sides (the "wires" going across). The LED level was tweaked for more output.
Here's the original: You can see the LED is only coming from the side near the hatch. The new version has the LED coming from the outside of the strip as well.
