Default Got some Weathertech stuff today....

Fedex came by this morning and dropped off my window vents and the cargo area cover for my ride. I'm still waiting for the floormats, which should hopefully be here in a week. I could only put on the rear window vents because I just had the front windows tinted.

Wow, those are a lot lighter than what I expected...

Where exactly does the visor stick to? I assumed it would cover the window trim, like the 1st gen, but it looks like its hanging below it?

They actually go inside the window channel. You roll the window down and slide the vent up into the top of he window channel. There is a small amout of 3M adhesive that is on the vent that allows it to stay in the window channel when the window is down.

I like these versus the ones that mount on the outside of the window. It looks more "streamlined" than the ones that stick on the outside of the window...IMHO.

Those look really nice. For those that want them darker, could'nt you spray the inside with some Nightshades like you would to tint your taillights?

Looks Good...

what is the waiting time before you can put it on the front with the window tint?

I Just installed my Weathertech Visors last week and think they are far superior Brand then most out there but are a bit pricey...

they do come in two shades of smoked tint.
the lighter one is pretty light,
the darker one is darker than most.

I put on the darker tint ones and they are quit a bit darker than the ones that i got with my Chevy pickup as a factory option.

Each to their own but i will only get in-channel again a much cleaner look....

The tinting place told me to wait 3 days before I roll the windows down. Since I just had them tinted Friday, I will probably wait until Tues or Wed to put in the fronts.

They are having me wait cause its still pretty cold up here in chicago at night so I guess it gives the adhesive time to cure.

I wanted to have darker ones, but right now they only have the light ones on the Weathertech.com website. If I want them darker I will probably spray them with that tinting spray. The pics make them look really light, but they are dark enough for right now.

I have these on my Denali but in the darker shade and I love them. I have seen the stick on ones that go on the actual door frame, and half the time I look at them on other cars and they are crooked or it just kind of "sticks" out too much for my taste.

I've yet to get mine in-stock. Will have to call and see what is taking so long. Yes, much lighter too. Not sure how they are going to look with my windows at 15% tint all the way around

Received our set today 04/11/2008 very nice quality. The tinting on them looks great. Just right as far as color. I'll have them installed Sunday or Monday as I just had Hernia Surgery and the most I can do is sit and type on the computer...LOL

WX -

I noticed on your signature you have the Shark antennae on your xb. Is the install of that pretty easy?

I like the smooth look of that antenna and want to get it. Is it mainly taking off the little stubby one off, and then using some 3M tape to stick the sharkfin onto the roof?

Does your radio reception suffer cause of it? Not that it really matters, I always just plug in my ipod, but just in case I want to listen to the radio. I want it to function the same.

Thanks
