If you buy replacement bulbs from the same company that you originally purchased your kit from, then I would think that the new 6000k bulbs would have the same kind of connectors as the original 10000k.

well i purchased the xb used,, and the lights already came with them. so.. i found this web site that sells replacement bulbs omni x visions. that should fit ,. iam just wondering if anyone has done what iam trying to do. just replace the bulb?

yes, you can just replace the bulb. it's simple, just like changing a normal halogen. just disconnect the connectors that are attached to the bulb from the ballast, pop out the bulb, swap the new bulb back in. you pretty much can't screw it up.

hmm ok so iam disconecting the wire that conected to the balast right then remove the bulb ,, or the whole housing.. it seems to have a tape or rubber casing mid way up the housing that holds the bulb. iam guessing this is a protector against water.

you're going to have to pop out the rubber protector thing and unlatch the bulb from the headlight assembly. if it doesn't look like it was meant to be ripped apart, you probably shouldn't. otherwise, just fiddle around, it won't break.
