Default Hood Bug shield

I cannot find anyone that sells a bug shield for my Scion 2009 XB. I cannot believe it. I dont want a bra or a clear bra, just a bug shiled. Anyone know where I can get one?? Thanks.

Since I've owned my 08 xB, I haven't seen a bug shield developed for our cars.

If you're not a bra fan like the ostentatious Colgan ones, you might consider a magnet bra, which literally looks like a strip of vinyl, but affords the same protection.

Thanks Pyroman for that link. Looks real cool, but I would be worried about it dirt and grime getting underneath it and eventually wearing the paint. That is why I do not want a bra, that and the fact that you have to take it off and on to wash or when it rains. I have used bug deflectors for a long time on other vehicles, they work well and they are cheap. I am thinking to just put the clear bra 3m material on, but it has so many nicks in the paint already (especially ofter my wife drove it) that I am afraid it will look bad.

I've been rocking the Magnet Bra for a while without any dirt getting under there.

The way I justify it is that the bra is super cheap. Further, it protects the hood very, very well. The only thing I have to do is remove the bra every 3 months (which is my personal goal) for thorough cleaning. The simplicity of it all makes the price more than worth it.

If you can find a bug shield, post it up. I haven't seen one.

Ok, I broke down and bought the magnet bra, and installed it. It was kinda a challenge because it does not contourt to the curve by the corner of the healight very well. had to just put on the hold down strip and try to work out the pocket. I still was unable to get it all out. But it looks ok. I trimmed the hold down strip on both sides after I installed it. When you do, you have to make sure you have a pair of dikes to trim off the unexpected metal that sticks out after you do. If I ever install one again I would start the strip on one side first so I only would have to cut one side. I started it in the middle.

Isn't the magnet bra a magnetic and can be stuck on and removed anytime?
Why is there a need to trim fit the magnet material?

I wish it was a slap and stick magnet thing. It is hard to get it aligned properly and get all the bubbles/pockets of air out of it. This is my first magnet bra and it took me a good 1/2 hour to get it on. I am sure I will get faster at it next time. There is a push on hold down strip that goes on the edge of the hood that they cut too long and it needs to be trimmed or it hangs way past the maget bra and looks horrible. That was the trimming it needed.
