Why take it out? Must be super bright for backing up at night now.
Is it a 35 watt HID? Did you rewire from the battery all the way back?
Do you have a close-up picture of the bumper and light with the light off?
I'd like to see what it looks like compared to the stock housing and plastic lens.

yes a 35w hid ...8000k...u want a picture of the bulb in the housing?i can do that probably tomorrow...thanx man...i was just really bored at work and i been wanting to do it since i got it in may...

i know it probably takes away some of my glory...but i did put into consideration that im not going to be constantly sending it power in which i believe it will not heat it up enough to melt it ...it similar to a headlight housing so that made me believe it would not melt it...

Very good, no glory lost. As far as I know, you're the first guinea pig to try it.
Don't need a picture of the bumper with fixture now, but it would be great to see a shot of how well it lights the distance away from the back at night... you know, what you'd see from the driver's seat when backing up.

I want to know if you used the stock wiring as well?? or did you run seperate power to it & a relay from stock wiring?? & I am dying to know this!! Please spill the beans, marcemarcBOB..... thanks for the reply & thanks in advance for a FUTURE DIY on how you stuck a 35 watt bulb into your stock fixture!! Explain that one too,. Man!! All the glory to ya!! Great Job!!! jh
