Matching exterior white lights- what should i go with???
I want to change all the following to a clean white look:
-Low Beams (to HID)
-Parking Lights
-Turn Indicator (I have the info on replacing the orange insert to clear)
-Side Mirror Turn Indicators
-Reverse Light
-License Plate Lights
-Custom fogs to put in lower grill
The question is what combination of HID type, xenon, LED, etc, would give me the best overall matching clean white look?
I figure some of you guys who have seen these, or combinations of these in person would have some real insight.
Oh yeah, and in case there are any haters, here is the link to my state light laws:
http://www.oscn.net/applications/osc...OKST47&level=1
Chapter 12, Article 2. It is legal for all of these to be white.

Not all questions get answered here... But i'll try and help...
When it comes to HID color temp 5000k is probably the cleanest white... You could get the oem fogs and install the HIDs in there too... As for the other lights just look for LED replacements that are super white... cool white might be a slight shade of blue, but not too far off...

Front Turn Signal: 1157 = $24 for pair
Rear Turn Signal: 7440 = $5 for pair
Tail Light / Stop Light 7443 = $12 for pair
License Plate: T10 = $5 for pair
Backup Light: 7440 = $5 for pair
Front Side Marker: T10 = $5 for pair
Dome Light: Festoon 31mm = $6 for 1
Trunk Light: Festoon 31mm = $6 for 1

This is the prices quoted to me from Operatic here at scionlife if it helps. Bulb size is the important number here so you can shop around for prices !!!!

The lower power draw of the LEDs will cause the turn signal to hyper-flash (blink really fast), so you need to get a replacement flasher:
http://www.v-leds.com/BlinkerWarning...-p4481146.html
You just have to snap off two thin little pieces of plastic on the housing for the new flasher to plug right in.
BTW, with the new flasher none of the running lights will blink anymore when you use the lock/unlock buttons on the key remote, but the audible beeps can still be heard.

I run 6000k hids on my high, lows, and fogs and have swapped all my led's interior and exterior to hyper white (through LEDMOD you might want to pm to see what kind he uses) and they all match perfectly. To prevent from hyperblinking I have a relay but like cionide said none of the lights will flash anymore when you lock or unlock. We'll see if the varad stuff I'm getting will match the LEDs that LEDMOD has. And if you have the kenwood headunit you adjust the color combination to get the same light as well.

why has no one made a controller that will make the lock/unlock flash with LEDs? i actually use that feature to make sure my car is locked beacuse those beeps arent very loud. this is quite a dilemma...

I agree! I'd rather have an easy plug in and lose the flashers! :D
I pulled my LED turn signal bulbs because I guess it's illegal in Utah. So said the Sheriff whom pulled me over. I guess I didn't have insurance, either. I <3 cops.

I keep my original flasher & amber bulbs under the rear with the spare, so that if I get pulled over I can claim I didn't know they weren't legal, and only keep them in the car in case of a bulb failure. I'll see if it works if I ever get pulled over.
