is there a way to wire the mirror turn signal to turn on when you open the door as well as blink when you turn the signals on? I know where to tap into for the dome just didn't know how to go about wiring them to do both functions..

 

Not trying to get off topic here, but where do you tap into the dome light at?

 

into the fuse box or the door pin.

 

hmmmm never thought about doing sumthing like this....I might just disconnect it all together i hate that yellow bulb and blue and other colors are illegal in NYS....maybe a strobe kit in there!!!!

 

The original post was wanting the Mirror Mounted turn signals connected to the dome light, not all the turn signals.

Is your goal to have the mirror lights to be like a courtesy light?

 

yes. I want them to blink when i turn on the signal as well as light up when i open the doors

 

i would also like to see this done..... i wanted to tie mines in with the parking lights..led mod is pose to be doing a D.I.Y which involves tapping into the dome light for the puddles one of the guys on that thread knows how to do it

You'll need 2 diodes and a relay for each turn signal.

Use the relay to change the polarity of the dome light trigger from negative to positive. If you do not know how to do this read this, http://www.the12volt.com/relays/page1.asp

Cut the line going to the turn signal in the mirror, take the two diodes and hook the striped side of both to the wire from the mirror, hook one of them back up to the turn signal wire coming from the car, and finally hook the other one up to the line coming from the relay output. This way the turn signals will still work normally and the ones in the mirror will also come on when you open the doors. Alternatively you could use the wires coming directly off the front door pins so that each turn signal only comes on when the door on that side is opened.
