Default Rear bumper trimming project

So.. on the 2nd gens, the muffler piping is angled down a bit because there are no 'cutouts' on the rear bumper to accomidate the muffler tip.

I m thinking of trimming the bumper a little bit so our xb can have more straighter and larger muffler tip.

I did a little photoshop and what do you guys think? The trim has been moved a little more toward the center because our muffler curves a bit.

*the stock muffler tip is 4 inches wide and 2 inches tall

I wouldn't even think about (let alone do) any trimming to the bodywork until I find the exact sound solution that I want. Cut away, but you're on your own, if you aren't sure it is EXACTLY what you want. For warned is for armed!

i was thinking of putting a hks carbon-ti or apexi WS sport style..

without the bumper trim job, it'll make the exhaust sit too low or angle funny

The bumper already has a recessed area for the exhaust tip, its just the the area is raised across the whole lower lip of the rear bumper.

Are chrome coffee cans THAT important???
