Why would you want yout hood to higher than b4! The point this mod is to get rid of the hood pro stick!

yo this is mike. i met you at BEP. im a big guy man... the hood hinge clearly arcs higher and i would have just liked it to to higher. that would give me a bit more space when working on the sides and for LED lighting mounted on the hood it would give me a wider lit area.

but dont take this the wrong way. its very likely the un-smooth motion will be worked out after more use and with no hood prop it's fantastic.

I know, who you are when you posted....Yeah I have same problem with my hood prop too...it sticks alittle bit but I love it!

Two quick questions:

1) Did you guys cycle the gas cylinders a few times before installing them?

2) Which model did you get; QuickLIFT PLUS or QuickLIFT ELITE?

I'll be getting the Elites also, and was just hopping that maybe it was the regular black gas cylinders that didn't open as smoothly as you both would like.
