Oh, would it help if I showed an old picture of my interior that is color matched to my wheels???

Please don't put me in the RICE forum. lmao

After the above mods, I'll be placing an order for a yellow (or black-yellow, haven't decided yet) carbon fiber kit to deck out the interior some more. Here are the color samples:

Yea, I was just giving you a hard time, glad you got the sarcasm. I knew you had to be doing something with the interior, I just didn't know what. Personally, I like the subtle yellow of the black & yellow CF, but with the bright yellow painted pieces I think you need go whole hog with the bright yellow CF. If you went with the black & yellow CF, it would make the bright yellow painted pieces look like a bad choice because it would not be unified. Bright yellow if fine, as long as it is unified. Contrast is king!

The other alternative would be to go with the black & yellow CF, and repaint all the bright yellow interior trim work a more subdued black/yellow color... which I'm guessing you don't want to do again.

The hell I went through to get those pieces painted? Nah. I'm definitely not repainting them. I will have to repaint two of those a/c vent rings because I accidentally pressed too hard on the paint when it was still soft. lol

But good advice. I guess I will go with the yellow carbon fiber trim. I thought about doing the black yellow because it's subtle, but nah.

So anyway, to get back on topic, what other grilles do we have out there available? So far, I'm still into the FIG grilles, but the FastScions one is pretty nice looking!

yea..i agree, the grillcraft looks real nice, but $250 compared to $80 for the fig is quite a big difference IMO

Well CIONIDE, you'll be happy to know that my customized FIG grille with the yellow xB logo is on the way! I'll have pictures when I get this installed!

Further, my brake pads are finally almost worn down, so when I get those changed, I'll do my calipers, too. Since I'm going into that field, I've even been contemplating dropping some slotted rotors on the box.

Sorry to be off topic, but once I get my FIG grille installed with some pictures up, we can have another comparison shot to show a FIG grille on the box.

I like the look and they are very attractive for the price, plus they come with lifetime warranties and are VERY customizable, so it just made sense. My price with options came out to $165 shipped. Not bad!

To each his own but I've seen the Grillcraft up close and I prefer the coarser mesh of the Fig. Not to mention Fig has a lot more color choices, custom emblems, and you can get a 4 pc set for 1/2 the cost of a 2 pc Grillcraft set.

@Slody: Dman, I love it with those red faux vents! Very subtle, but definitely very nice!

I thinking of replicating that with my xB, only I have a yellow theme.

I thought about you as soon as I saw that, but I figured I've beaten you up enough about the yellow.

You know, do you think that would be too much yellow? The only yellow (so far) that I'm going to have from the front of the box is going to be the xB logo on the grille. The only other exterior yellow is on the wheels and the yellow Lego valve stems. Do you think I should get yellow faux vents?

Oh, and the last bit of yellow I plan on doing for the box is in the back. I plan on replacing the standard xB logo with a yellow xB logo on the hatch.

Take it one step at a time, you can always add anything you want.

XD thanks.. yeah I painted them, installed them, and didn't wash my car. That pic is so old though I really need to clean the car and take pics. I recently bought my girl an 06 Miata and between that, and working for 3 weeks at a time, I never have time to wash my car lol.

Drat! I thought that I would get my FIG grille in the mail today, but at least I got my car bra. I have to wait for the weather to clear up before I can throw the bra on, and it's most likely looking like a Wednesday for me.

What mine would look like (Imagine a Silver xB instead):

Today I came home at night after seeing Robin Hood again with a different friend this time. When I got to my front door, there was a big brown box leaning against it. I was thinking that maybe it was oversized flowers and balloons from some secret lover.

Well, I opened the box, and to my disappointment, it wasn't oversized flowers and balloons:

Darn. It was only my new FIG grilles for my xB. I guess I'll just have to get them installed tomorrow. Shoot.

The pictures above feature my magnet bra and my top and lower grille upgrades in gloss black.
