The ones I posted a link to don't require tape. In-channel FTW.

Yes, I went with those too. I like the look of the Rumion style (only source at the time I bought were Toyota JDM import -- pretty expensive), but I'm not comfortable with attaching anything to the black tape around the windows. Still, it's apparently working fine for many, so I guess it just comes down to preference !

PS. The in-channels do use a couple small pieces of tape inside the rear channels to prevent the rear visors from traveling down when the window is lowered. But, indeed, no tape is applied to the car exterior.

Ive used vent visors with tape for over 10 years, without issue. I like the look of the Rumion visors way better than the micro mini channel ones.

I've a pair of tape attached vent visors on my Eclipse (got them the same time as the in-channels for the xB2 -- my first visors ), but that's tape onto the car finish, not tape onto tape!

update: I tried ordering the window visors from weather tech, but they wanted a whopping $90 in shipping...I live in Hawaii...I'll see if I can get it somewhere else. I prefer not gluing something on my car...tape and hot sun is usually not a good combo... :-)

Dude, It's hotter here than there, and if you dont wanna "glue" anything to you car, thats fine, but quit using excuses like "tape and hot sun". FUD.

If I can recommend a good one, the seamless vent visors you can find on eBay are awesome. They create a low-profile look and still function the same.

The ones that tape to the outside of the door frame also do not cause excess wear and binding on the window regulator and motor due to increased resistance in the window track.

I did have some in channel ones once, and the manual windows I had at the time were pretty tight when they snugged up against the visors.

Dude that is funny as hell. You get all bent over by someone worrying about heat. I'll check them out, but no need for the raised stress level. It's all good.
