Installed New N1 style Tsudo Exhaust
#23
has anyone tried this exhaust with the silencer attached? i would like to get this setup, headers, s pipe, scuba and exhaust, but i'm a little worried it will be too loud for my 2 year old daughter.

I have the silencers in my duals and it def cuts down the sound. I like them out, I'll get you a sound clip. Also once I get the scuba delete ill have the b4 and after. There is a video of the setup you want, taken inside and out. Overall def not loud at all.

If you just get the axle back set you will be fine it is not loud at all unless you have the whole setup. i have a 4 and 5 year old girls and i have not got a complain from them. My setup has a scuba delete not from TSUDO i replaced it with a glasspack and the girls dont say nada. i will try to make a video today cause i will be installing the axle back setup on a 12 xb automatic so i will try to make a comparison video my setup vs his setup.

06scioxb, thanks a bunch for that sound clip. very nice. i'll be ordering the axle back i have it in my cart ready to go, but they are not responding to my chat. i'm moving on the 15 of next month so i just wanted to confirm with speed-element that i will get it before then. thanks again. this will go nice with my rs8 xb

I've been running a complete Tsudo system from Speed Element on my stick '12 for just over a year: 4-into-2-into-1 long tube header (which I NitroPlate-coated for hybrid ceramic-like insulation benefits), high flow catted S-pipe, Scuba-replacement resonator, but with Fireball duals. Along with a K&N SRI, power enhancement is very significant ...
But, without the baffles, the exhaust drone inside the cabin particularly when you're on the gas/power @ 2000-4000 rpm will make your ears nearly bleed. Sounds really bada$$ outside especially during shifts but curtails normal conversation, comfort, and music appreciation inside...
Solution: I cut off the OEM 1-3/8"-dia x ~5" tube stubs flush with the back of the silencer/baffles' "cups" and welded on 2"-dia replacements, then die-grinder-opened the cups' bore to corresponding 2"-dia. You get enhanced exhaust flow to compliment (not-strangle) the 2-1/4"-dia primary pipe and acceleration performance, non-fart-can exhaust sound prowness, and 90+% OEM interior hearing non-drone comfort.
Yes, it doesn't have the wet-dreams sound of a V8 or a 13K redline 1L+ sportbike but/cause it's not....
I'm on TRD springs and only rarely will I minimally kiss the bottom of the duals' cans on some low-speed street/curb/grass transitions...

I recently swapped out the Tsudo cat back exhaust for a TRD sport muffler. I bought the TRD sport muffler for 250 on craigslist. The reason is because my xB is on Eibach sportline springs and I would scrape frequently the canister and tip of the exhaust. One thing is that you can't use the Tsudo pipe that connects the Tsudo Scuba delete pipe and the TRD sport muffler right off the bat because the flange towards the muffler dont line up. I took it took a muffler shop to cut and weld aligning it to fit my TRD sport muffler. The sound is deep and throaty. One bad thing is for some reason the tip of the TRD sport muffler broke off. I just had the muffler shop cut part of the tip off.
I will post up pics and a sound byte later.
