28 mpg on a tank of mostly 70 mph highway
32.5 mpg on a tank of 55 mph.
Those are calculated based on the odometer and gallons needed to fill (I always fill) the on-dash display was 2 mpg higher in both cases. I'm on the 3rd tank of gas now.
I also find my speedo to be 3-7 mph higher than actual speed. 3 mph is one thing but 7? This is based on side-of-road-speed-signs. I'll GPS it next week.

Ok, Here's my update after a fill-up. I ran 411 miles on this tank, and it took 12.6 Gallons. That works out to 32.6 MPG. The computer read 33 MPG so it is a little optimistic. This tank saw zero Highway miles. Most of it was around town using hyper-miling techniques, though I did do about 10 miles of pure city stop and start driving normally with 4 people in the car. Looking forward to the next tank and seeing if I can break 35 MPG, that's what I used to get with my Gen 1.

I bought my NBM 2 weeks ago and went on a trip from Savannah, Ga to Clearwater, Fl and got a average of 29 mpg on the highway. In the city I have been getting 23 but, the traffic here in Clearwater sucks. Hopefully I will get better on base when I get home.

During the first 120 miles, I'm seeing 24mpg at 25mph average. There was a 20 miles of highway in there somewhere. Do these motors have a history of getting better when you reach complete break-in? I sure can't complain at 24... I'm more use to 9 and 10.

OK. Here's the deal. I have had my car for about 4 days now and I'm only getting around 19-22 mixed driving. That seems really low. Should I be concerned or is there some kind of "break in" period that I'm unaware of. I also do a good amount of freeway driving and only get a little over 100 on the first half of a full tank. There is only 300 miles on the car if that helps.

I just hit 8k miles today, I've never reset my avg mpg guage. It shows 27.4, I would say about 90% of those miles are city.
Going by actual math with miles divided by gallons to fill I average about 25.8, I just went on a 400 mile trip today and averaged 32.6 using the actual math. I started the trip with a 27.3 on my avg meter, it went up to 27.4 during the drive. :-)
I had two adult males in the car and the a/c running the whole time. It was almost exactly 80 degrees the whole trip with high humidity and 8mph winds blowing the car around, also I live at almost sea level. We averaged 68mph on the trip dividing the trip time by the distance showing in my gps.
I know that may sound like way too much info but there may be someone who would like to know the conditions. I know 32.6 is the best I've ever gotten so I am glad to remember how I did it, if it was 45 degrees I think it might've done a little better as I'd not have had the a/c on and the air would be more dense and less humid as where I live there's never cold and humid at the same time.(Panama City, FL)

My baby is one month old.. We just took a 2000 mile trip..600 miles on the ODO b4 the trip.. a little over 2600 miles now..\
Highway=31mpg (all Highway) did best between 65 & 75mph
city+highway= 27 combined (about 30% city)
City= I have no idea
Computer is dead-on to my figures...
I am very happy with these figures and look forward the them getting higher as the car gets older.. AJ
