Just spoke to Tony with Speed-Element regarding the fitment issues with the 5 AXIS lip kit and the Tsudo dual exhaust system.
They are aware of the issue but have no way of re-designing the exhaust system without a test vehicle. I explained to him that alot of us are interested in buying but don't want to hassle modifying it. Anyone willing to take their car in?
Presently they have about 20 (?) dual exhaust systems in stock. I told him if he were to "modify them to fit" a 5AXIS kit, he would probably sell all of them!
I was thinking of the Borla system (and still may buy it) but it's hard to justify spending that much for just tailpipes/tips.
Sorry for the long rant, but one last thing, the Tsudo exhaust is street-legal in Ca. according to Tony. If I understood him correctly, as long as it is below 95 db(?),not hanging down low and the cat is left alone you're good to go. His exhaust system meets all these criteria. Just sharing.

So, it's been over a year since the quoted post was made. Has there been any progress at all on this issue? Or, is the Tsudo exhaust still as incompatible as ever with the 5-Axis kit? If it was compatible, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. If it's not, it's deal breaker for me (and most likely many others).

So, was it redesigned to work with the 5-Axis kit? Early posts indicate that it doesn't come close to fitting and requires extensive mods.
So, what simple 5 minute mod to you perform on your Tsudo dual cat back exhaust to make it work with your 5-Axis kit? Can you provide photos of your mod and the finished install (a full DYI would be great). I don't doubt you, I just want to see what is required and how it looks when done.

I'm guessing the photo you're referring to was mine. However, instead of just going by what people here say, I suggest visiting their website and carefully reviewing the description and photos before spending any money.

To me it sounded the same with or with out the silencers in. They are held in by a 10mm bolt and allen key if i remember (very easy to take on and off at anytime) I say leave them out and enjoy the slight deep rumble it makes

trumpets
Anyone that has the silencers (trumpets) just laying around. Experimenting with exhaust sound and need some. Will pay for shipping etc. Scuba delete is loud and need to tone down a bit.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I'm wondering if there has be any progress on modifying/adapting the Tsudo Dual Fireball Exhaust to work with the 5-Axis kit? I can't imagine why this wasn't done in the first place as these two items seem like a match made in heaven - if they were only compatible.

Speedelements replied in this thread on Octobr 5th that a new version of the Tsudo Fireball dual exhaust specifically designed to work with the Five Axis kit will be available within two months:
"Production has already started on the five axis exhaust kit, should be receiving it within 2 months."
I have my Five Axis kit on the way. So, I'm hoping the Tsudo dual exhaust will be here in time for Christmas.

this pic is from june and i didnt have a problem fitting it i just took one of those springs that are from the original muffler bolts and 3 washers and it dropped nicely into place...also recently did a scuba delete with a straight pipe now...so my exhaust setup is extrememly loud as i have weapon r headers and s pipe to straight pipe to catback dual exhaust...

My exhaust is Strup headers w/ black High temp coating, stock "S" pipe w/CEL eliminator in O2 sensor port. Summit racing small cat and Hush power muffler. Then standard Tsudo duals. I drilled and perforated the silencers (trumpets) in effort to create a baffle and tone down. Helped very little. It's loud especially with any throttle. Mileage increased by 2 MPG and midrange HP feels great, but the noise gets to you.
