Default another question fuel pump???

Hi guys, I got a question for Scion Xb 2010 owners. I just made my Scion Xb turbocharged. I bought a Walbro 255 high pressure fuel pump, and when I took out the gas tank I noticed that the OEM Scion fuel pump and the area where is fitted is so small that the Walbro fuel pump doesn't fit inside. What have you guys done to change the fuel pump to the Walbro?

AFAIK only one member here has ever changed out their stock fuel pump and that was Cory James running e85 and 900cc injectors. Assuming that the XB fuel system is comparable to the TC (it should be), many people are running 550cc inj's and making over 300 whp on the stock fuel system. The most extreme case I know of was a TC guy who made over 400 whp with 650cc inj's and bone-stock fuel system.

If you really need or want to upgrade your fuel pump, call Rob at Descendant Racing as they are perhaps the only shop who has ever replaced the stock XB2 fuel pump. I spoke to Rob about it and he can offer a upgrade return fuel system with pump, return line, 1:1 FPR. Even with their kit you'll still have to modify your fuel pump housing like I already told you. Unless you're running larger than 550cc inj's and making over 300whp you don't need a new fuel pump, IMO.

BTW, no need to start a new thread for a question already asked and answered in another thread just a couple days ago.

Here's what Cory did:

It was true when I wrote it. I couldn't find any pictures or info on your website that would be any help to the OP or anyone attempting to swap in a hi-volume fuel pump.
