#1. Exhaust setup. (example: stock vs 3 inch exhaust)
#2. Elevation. (self-explanitory)
#3. Engine Conditioning (proper break-in, proper maintenance)

Although, i guess the turbo acts like a mini muffler as well?

Everything you could ever want to know about my setup can be found in this thread. It's very long so you might wish to skip to the end for the current spec's and dyno results. Basically the setup works because the ECU can trim 20% larger injs (440cc), running 93 pump together with Toyos excellent knock sensor handles ign timing issues and keeping the MAF measurement the same as stock keeps ign timing and shift points where they should be. My one dyno run pretty much sucks because the shop was 90F+ and they only had one little fan blowing thru the rad and no air going to the IC or air filter. IAT was ~120F during the dyno runs and the ECU was pulling ign timing.
When I said that I make the same power as a tuned Descendant kit at 8psi I was referring to near-identical 1/4 mile ETs and trap speeds for my car and RJScion's. My heat-soaked dyno session says 215/220 whp/wtq but my ETs say 240whp/wtq which seems about right for 90F vs 60F.
Here is the dyno sheet thread. I thought I also posted it in the main build thread but apparently not.
