Quick update found my issue and it was the bov which was leaking. I am know using a hks sqv and no idle surge or stalling. So I would stay away from greddy bovs.

I modified the map that you sent me a bit Cory, and all I can say I wow what difference. Boost comes on much stronger 1st and 2nd gears are useless in boost as the tire just break free so easily. Even 3rd spins a bit.

I am still getting a maf code but I think that is tune related as during part
throttle I am getting trims of -25 which means I need to lean those spots out a bit. Drivability is much better as I am not going lean any more. I got some little things I am thinking about changing still before I get a profecional tune.

I have to get a resonator as the exhaust even though it sounds nice is still too loud and sets off every car alarm on my way to work at 5am.

vid coming soon

you could feal the valve opening and closing during idle no matter how much u adjusted it. I was also leaking from the adjustment screw where it ended poping right off after messing with for a while. They are junk, as soon as I swapped it out I felt the difference then I just tweaked Cory map a lil and it was like day and night. Before I would just be rich then lean then rich I could not tune it like that.

are you getting any rich codes, if so look at your freeze data should tell you what condition and rpm caused the code then tune it, log your run and look for it should be noticble fuel trim curve at that load level.

I have noticed that when fuel trims stay +or - 20 in any rpm during closed loop for a giving time it will get a maf code. Our ecu hate boost. I'm thinking a blow through set up for the maf is a better way to go, or stand alone in your case since you are runing a more extreme set up.

Hmmm... sounds like you needed a stiffer spring or some preload spacers and some teflon tape. Anyway, I'm glad you found a solution.

I had a greedy bov on my old civic and had no issue got this one and turned out to be garbage ish happens but I hate engineering ish that should work fine to start with..

I did try adjusting it the proper with no luck then the screw almost just flew out cuase the thread striped.

the hks is better if you take that little divider is in the middle out it does not make the sneezing sound. I will probably recirculate my bov keep the maf sensor happy. That may be another reson for maf codes.

IMHO recirculating the BOV is an excellent idea as is your idea about a blow-thru MAF. I suspect that the much greater air volume and IC between the MAF and TB may account for the delay I'm seeing when I floor it. Normally the MAF is very close to the TB but most draw-thru MAF turbo setups place it very far from the TB. I'm hoping that I can tune out this hesitation with the FIC but if not, I may try a blow-thru MAF instead.
