Default Antenna locations (GPS/XM)

Looking at the threads some people have mounted there gps antenna under the dash. can the gps/xm antenna share the same grounding plate?

i had both antennas mounted externally on our '06s and didnt know if interior was any better?

Thanks

the xm antenna will be more likely to have bad reception mounted under the dash.. it will probably cut out or have low signal reception

i have my sirius antenna by the front corner of the passenger side. i had it on the inside, but reception sometimes cut out on me. i put it on the outside on the cowl by the fender and havent had any problems yet.

Don't put your Sat. Radio antenna under the dash. My lazy ___ stereo installer did that and I get dropouts all the time. It is very obnoxious.
