I keep hearing bad things about todays Pyle. However, I used to have 2 15 inch pyle's in a bandpass box, back in the day when bandpass was popular. I had them from when I was 15 till about 18, and then my friend bumped them for a couple years. Now they sit in his storage collecting dust. These woofers MASHED! They got abused many times and just kept working.

Iono.. maybe you wanted to hear that

I strongly recommend you get another set of components w/ strong mid bass rather than picking up anything like this..... you can add crap onto your stock system and at the end of the day you'll wish you would of just upgraded your interior speakers and have better sound and more umph for just about the same price.

I'd look into getting some Elemental Design components up front and coaxials for the rear or maybe some CDT's. You'd pay just a bit more but I think overall you'd be much more happy w/ that setup. Adding crap subs on top of an already lack luster set of speakers is just gonna result in crap w/ an umph.

If you can get good amp's i'd highly recommend going w/ Hertz speakers.

whatever you do, just dont put that Pyle crap into your car.... sh*t i'll sell you my 12" elemental Designs' sub for 30 bucks to save you the embarrassment. I have a few extra brand new subs sitting around in case I'd ever need them.

I will agree with Go HIN. Right now I have the whole back of mine tore apart and have no subs in there at all. I have 8" mid bass drivers in the front and actually dont even really miss the subs. I mean I do on certain songs, but having a great set of mids and highs up front will make up for alot in the system. Adding some crap bass will just be that. Crap. You can make some inexpensive stuff sound ok, but at the end of the day, you still have cheap stuff. I would save alittle more money and get the stuff you want and be happy with it for much longer.

A friend of mine once had problems with Pyles. he said that when they flared up, it was something awful. Don't think it had anything to do with the car though...
