I agree with you. Unfortunately, dealerships do not care- they do not know the product and do not provide acceptable service. I hope you get what you paid for, but it will have taken you too much effort. Good luck.

BTW- you should post the dealerships name here so others know to avoid them.

Thanks Nesta,

Swapping out the units wont be a problem, I hope you get a functioning unit! I mean it works and all dont get me wrong but audio presets are set back to default after a while...seems to be happening allot with these 2010 XB's...so keep us posted and I sure do hope you have better luck....this is a pain in the ****!!!

Jay
Good news I went down to the dealership and showed them the papers of the
2010 HU and I happend to see this new Black xB so I took the sales guy who
sold me the car (Mark Mossy Toyota)and he saw the new HU and it was settled.
Have to say if it was not this forum I would never known that I had a old HU.
The other good news for me is I got some stuff delivered to my house, suspension parts and got to have the Momo gear ****?
Getting my rear wing fially after three weeks and the other stuff.
Left to do Lip kit but I got that covered some good guy is helping me out.
Wheels and paint job next on the list.

Thanks for all the good info on the forum and all the education.

Not to beat a dead horse... but just wanted to let everyone know that Scion corp called me yesterday and arranged to have my car dropped off at the dealer and the guy from corp told me he will be out here and personally check it out... I am supposed to hear back from him tomorrow regarding this issue.... God knows how long I am going to be without my car now!!!

In the mean time I am rocking the new Tacoma... nice truck.... just sucks they gave me a truck with a full tank and I need to bring it back full...only because I just filled my car with gas today before they picked it up....uggg oh well... I will let you know what they tell me....

uggg.... Dam ppl.... got a call from the guy handling my case and he said that they set the settings early this morning and checked it every hr or so but it never reset itself.... I explained that it happened after a few hrs for example sitting overnight.... He said they were goning to hold onto it and he was going to have a master Tech check it in morning (he wrote down its current settings so the Tech can go by)
I am gonna be hella ____ed if they call me and tell me it never reset cause I would not know what to do then!!! so I pray to God it resets overnight...lol
