There was a thread on here before about it. A tech that worked at a Toyota dealership installed one in his xB.

Would be nice if he would see this thread and give us all the details. I heard he used a factory wiring harness from a Tundra to connect to the sub. Thats all I know.

Would be nice, IF we could get him to tell us how he did it and all the parts we need.

http://www.modifiedlife.com/2008-sci...iring-diagram/

there is a link to all the wiring info. I will have to get the pin printouts tommorow at work and upload them. Im not sure how much the link will help but if you go to your local toyota dealer, they can prink out all the wiring diagram for you from their TIS system.

The OP's part isn't a USDM xB part, though. I highly doubt any of that would help.

Nice try, though!

I beleive I PM'ed him before with no response. Didn't he have problems soon after the install, that's why he hasn't posted a "How to install?" What's wrong with posting all the info on here so everyone can see how to do it? Surely a toyota tech should be able to figure it out and post it on here for us.

If there is a toyota tech in south FL on here , I'll buy the sub, If you will hook it up.

I have a friend who is an expert at stereo/alarm install's in GA. But the car is in FL with me and I don't know when I will be back in GA with it. I'm pretty sure he could do it.

Personally, I wouldn't purchase it. It's expensive for next to nothing. The output that it provides seems to be next to nothing. It's a 6.5" midbass driver, not an 8"+ woofer.
Seems to be absolutely 100% anemic to what I have and/or want.

But I'm a bass head. :D

i agree with severdvegan..

its kinda a small speaker and there isnt much air space.. as an aesthetic piece i love it.perfect especially when mated with the tweeter on the opposite side as well.. i think that if you were to take this apart and re-wire everything to run off a new amp and 6.5 it would be pretty cool..

I like it because it doesn't take up any extra space inside. I would like a little more bass. I don't really want to install a seperate bass enclosue in the trunk area or under the front pass seat. When I have time, I plan on replacing the door speakers. and may install a amp for the door speakers and a sub/amp added under the rear floor mat may be the best way to go for me.

I have seen a bass speaker installed underneath the trunk mat over the spare tire on here. That may be the route I go, I don't store anything under there.
