Default Just did a $10 shift **** mod

I just thought I'd throw this out there in case it might help anybody. I don't know if I'll keep it. It was more of a cheap experiement. The **** feels good though - better than the stock rubber one. Sorry for the bad pics. I only carry around my phone - I'd never get pics up if I had to lug around my digital camera.

I figured any Toyota **** made for a gated (auto) shifter would work. I bought this used **** from a Lexus IS off eBay for $10! It looks (and smells) like new. It's wrapped in a dark gray leather that matches the xB's steering wheel and dash pretty well. The overall length of this **** is shorter than the stock one, but it sits at exactly the same height. So basically there is more of the shaft showing. It's not too sporty. It just looks stock.

I wonder if the Tundra **** will fit? It might look cool on the xB because of its squarish shape. Might be a good idea to keep the box theme going...

Looks good! I like how far down on the shaft it goes. That's good to know - that Lexus & other Toyota ***** work. I'm getting my xB this week and have been looking at ***** & other mods already. I am assuming a **** for a manual toyota brand will fit the auto shifter as well - hope I'm right.

What I want to do is put a shift boot on (or in place of) the auto gate plate. Where to get one?

Ahh... I read it too fast. I thought you said you "just did" the ****, nor"just bid (on)". Good luck if you're still looking.

Yeah! Look what I started.

Isn't it just like driving a Lexus now?

I actually purchaed a Tundra shift **** like I mentioned in the original post. It looks really cool but it is massive! It won't even thread on the shaft because it's so tall. It's just sitting in the garage now...
