Default My new armrest

So after looking around I decided to make my own armrest.
A buddy of mine and I made a fiberglass pan that fits snugly over the existing console cover, then foam and fabric. Had to cut off the original armrest but wasn't too broken up about it.

Thanks!
I went up a couple inches and forward as well so my wife who is 5'2" can use it with the seat pushed up. It's also big enough for both driver and passenger to use.

That looks great. I bet you could make some money if you made a run of them. I would definitely be interested.

Scion should replace all existing armrests with this one, cuz what we have now is crap compared to this...

I think I can make a few more. Maybe I'll do one and post a DIY. You need a really good sewer if you want to do it yourself though. And unless you make a plug, you can screw up your existing console lid.
After I did mine, I found some fake looking carbon material that matches the dash. I can do one of those as well as a suede one.
I'm really not trying to promote a new product but if there's enough interest, I could make some. I wanted to post this one because there's so much junk out there and the stocker is a joke.

If the price is right, I'll take one.

I am gonna take a guess at about 3 inches also based on the fact that he took off armrest on seat! I have experimented and this is best I have seen!

Cool, I'll talk to my sewer tomorrow and try to come up with a fair price. Maybe I can get the cost down if I made 20 or so.
