Very nice work. I too am very interested in this armrest.
I would buy one.
But I would also be interested in a diy. I can do the upholstery part, but I'm not clear on the fiberglass shell part of it.

I don't even care about the hole that's left in the seat after removing the oem armrest. I'm sure I can figure out how to cover it up somehow.

It probably took a couple hours to make the fiberglass shell, then a couple more to stack and shape the foam, then a couple more to make the initial pattern, sew the cover and install it, plus material.
I'm working it out now and we can do just about any color, fabric, etc.
Let me figure out what I can front for the first 20 or so to get going. I figure we can make "bases" and cover them to customer specs or provided material.

I'll definitely take one in Black leather. Perforated .

I'd still like to see a diy on this. however I'd also be interested in seeing some pics of the armrest taken apart?

Don't get me wrong, I'm still willing to pay for one too.

I want one too! Although it might make road head a bit more cumbersome.

THe arm rest is one of the things I miss about my silverado. The gas milage leaves it in the driveway. THe one on the door is a few inches low and the other could use your new and improved version. It would be great if you could figue out a way to make a pocket in the middle since storage is an issue. Im interested either way.
