Default My totally stealth install

I wanted to keep the install as stealth as possible. Big, flashy installs have all been done before, and in all honesty, I am not into the bass scene as much as I used to be. The really loud systems were great when I competed, but now I am trying to keep a stealth install with good sound quality.

I made custom enclosures, one for under the driver seat and one for under the passenger seat. Each one holds an Earthquake SWS-8 8" subwoofer. They are being powered by a Rockford Fosgate P300-1 amplifier. The main reason for choosing this amplifier is that it was the perfect wattage, and the perfect size. It is installed under the rear passenger seat. This install is 100% stealth, unless you are looking for it!

The enclosure under the driver seat:

With the seat pulled all the way forward, showing the sub:

The enclosure on the passenger side:

The amplifier under the rear seat:

I will also be installing a set of RF Power components and a RF P200-2 amplifier to power those. I just ordered them, pictures once they arrive. The amp will be installed under the rear seat next to the other amp, so it will be hidden too. The components will be installed in the factory locations.

Nice looking. well not looking. ha ha. I feel ya on that not into all that base anymore. I think you feel that way when you have a brand new car and brand new shocks/springs. Base is terribly on your car for driving. Something you never think about until you got your bass and see what it does to your car repair cost.

Good job! I am using the same amp and same location! However, I only have one sub... I might want to add it on the driver side like yours! Make the bass more balanced...
Look great! Stealth rules!!!

I actually changed out the subs to a pair of Polk Audio db840 subwoofers. The Earthquake subs were very hollow sounding, and not loud in the least. The Polk subs are amazing!

This set up is where is it at!

A couple quick questions:
1.) What kind of head unit are you running with this set up?
2,) How much $$ do you have invested in this set up start to finish?
3.) Are you running other high end speakers or just these subs with the stock speakers?

I am new to this end of car modding, this system reall interests me.

Great job guys,

Where'd you guys get those enclosures? The only one i can find that will fit under the seat is the pioneer shallow 8" box, which is out of stock everywehre i look, plus it's kinda pricy.

Hey Detroit,

Would a shallow 10" subwoofer fit like the Pioneer one? I've heard the Pioneer is really good for what it is (better than the eD and Rockford) and at very affordable price point. IIRC, it only has a 3.5" mounting depth and could be had for under $100. You're setup is truly genius.
