New shifter for Auto

I was noticing that the auto shifter top seems to unscrew very easily. Do the scion aftermarket shifters fit both manuals and auto's or are they different?

From what i have been told they are different... I am looking for a nice Auto replacement too...

You can buy any shifter ****. I have a chrome skull and a red 8-ball. The thread just needs to be 8x1.25mm
