Default Paint/Dye Pillars and Headliner

I know several people have done it, I'm looking for any pictures, tips / howtos for the xB2.
I want to do this to both of my xB's.

Great thread... I'm thinking about doing the same thing. I dyed my gray door panel in my bimmer black and it turned out like stock. It's been such a long time ago, I forgot the brand name, but the stuff really works. Once I dyed the door panel, it never faded or rubbed off. I'll look for the brand name I used and post it on here. I was thinking about dying my pillars black and have O2Creation in San Jose suede my headliner.

a friend of mine did his xB1, he dyed the headliner and used kyrlon fusion on the pillars.
I intend to get a can of spraypaint that will match the gold for the RS5 from www.paintscratch.com so I can use that on the grab handles, overhead light, hanger hooks, etc (to match the dash)..

vinyl dye works great on plastics. it won't rub off or anything like that. for the headliner, i've heard dying it changes the texture and makes it look a little crappy.

You'd probably be better off recovering the headliner. A few people have performed this and it turned out extremely well.

I'm actually planning on UltraSueding mine this summer along with my door inserts.

i like the headliner, just not sure where to buy a piece of suede that large, I also have a sunroof to contend with.
my accents (like your roof console) will be painted to match the color of the car, along with the handles, lights, etc.

Got the fabric from JoAnn Fabrics, that was 3 yards (6'x9') I wouldn't know where to begin with a sunroof to contend with. But I'm sure there's a custom shop or 10 that would

3m #90 it's about 12 bucks a can. This ain't the forgiving kind either, you get it right the first time or you're ripping it back off. 3M #80 would work too I just really prefer 90
