Default A-Pillar speaker pods

Does anyone make these or am I going to have to learn how to use fiberglass? Thanks!

Nobody makes them because of the potential liability issues involved since the A-pillars contain the front side curtain air bags.

What size componenets do you want to put up there? I plan on doing a 3" dome mid and 3/4-1" tweeter and there is enough room for them. But yes you would have to fiberglass to put anything up on the a-pillar as no one makes anything for it.

Definitely upgrade your front stage and replace the tweeters in the OEM sail panels. I've done this, and bass still overpowers everything. But that's kind of expected with 100watts for front speakers and 3000watts for the substage. ;)

Doesn't look too bad for some Type-R's!!!

Yeah my front stage is already upgraded, well it was until I blew a tweeter and a 6.5 I think I'm going to get 2 sets of http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...PPI+356CS.html
Everyone on Caraudio.com says they are legit. I'm going to just replace what I have now and put the other set in the rear doors. Should be enough... what amp to power them though? That's what I'm trying to figure out.

The sub stage will be upgraded at the beginning of next year. Maybe 2 HDC312's with an AQ2200D. http://www.audioque.com/aq/HDCSeries.htm
I dno.

If you're going to run those speakers then you will not get them up in the a-pillar. Not enough airspace for the woofer and they would get in the way of the airbag on the passenger side dash.

Also are you going for sheer volume or sound quality? If you are going for sound quality I would leaave out the tweeters from the rear set, they'll just pull the sound stage back.

HDC3's can take POWER. My buddy was feeding his a Powerbass 3000 for a while with no problems. He had unloading issues in the horn I built for him, but that's because it was designed for a high Q driver.

Those PPI's look pretty nice!!! I'm looking to upgrade my front stage further. I need an SAX-100.4d for active duties.

Both? Well, not sheer volume but definitely loud. That's why I'm tying to figure out how to get more speakers in the front of the car.
The A-Pillars were a dumb idea.
