sns 200
Ok I can't find any information on this head unit.
I would like to know what I would need to install this unit into a 2012 xb?
Will the factory USB and aux still work?
What about using the controls while the car is moving?
And any info u also might have.
Thanks for your help

Here are the installation instructions:

It is the factory optional Toyota navi unit for the 2012 xB, so the factory USB & aux still work, but it is not just a simple plug-n-play head unit like the SNS100 was. It also has a safety system so that you can not input new addresses while driving, but you can select from the first 6 priority memory presets while in motion. Since the 200 has bluetooth that works through the stereo system, it involves wiring a microphone through the dash, as well as pulling the door cards to get to the speakers and wiring them into the system as well. It also has wiring that goes to the center console, and through the glove box. It took the Toyota tech 3 hours to install mine and he knew exactly what he was doing. You can do it, but it will take some patience, and a lot of instruction following.

Now the question is. Is there a way to bypass all of the parking brake and speedo wire instructions so I have full function of the head unit while in motion?

I haven't seen anything for the sns200, but these are the threads that cover the navi system hack to override the parking brake and speed sensor lockouts for the sns100, in case they help:

It's a great head unit, it just costs a lot to get what it has to offer. After-market will give you more for the money. I bought it to be able to wrap it into the financing, and have the full Toyota warranty should anything ever go wrong.

I can buy it brand new in the box for 800. So I just want to make sure it's worth 800. I know I can get a after market for 800 to a thousand

For the iPod the only thing greyed out is the music menu.... But the track list, forward and back still work.... Mine greys out when I hit 5 mph ...Oh and I have it in my 2012 XB... The USB and steering wheel controls work also ...
