viper 330v
i'm looking to install an upgrade to the oem remote with a security system. heard the 330v has some glitches that make it ineffective. anybody have any experience or advice regarding the security upgrade?

The 330V does not have any glitches. It is, however, a bit more difficult to install than a normal alarm as it is a "piggy-back" system, requiring you to tap into lock motor wires, disarm defeat wires, etc. Also, the Viper product line is sold to dealers only. It is not intended to be installed by consumers.

in some cars the computer goes to sleep after a certain period of time which will false the alarm. Alot of Ford's and some GM's are notorious for this. With alarms and remote starts the equipment is only as good as the installer.
