I used the online store finder to see how much it is here... $12.68 not too shabby and 3 or 4 rolls should cover much of my car...

Peel n seal is a big no no. It's asphalt based and I've heard nothing but bad about it. I know a lot of people use it because it's inexpensive, but when it gets hot, the adhesive fails. This is especially true when it's used on roof.

If you haven't checked this out, doooo iiitt!!!

Yeah I went with cause I live in oregon, you know the rainy cold state.. helps keep the car warm in the winter cause I drive year round with the sun roof cracked.. but I only used in my hatch area and my rear quarter panels, no way was I trying to take the headliner off

For sure! I've used SecondSkin Damplifier Pro and I love the product. I've never touched peel n seal, I've just seen the yucky aftermath of it sliding and peeling off.

Another option to fill up large gaps would be GreatStuff. The expanding foam you can get at Lowe's or Home Depot. When I pull out my headliner to recover, I'm planning on filling all of my roof cross beams with great stuff and covering everything with Damplifier Pro.
My roof flexes too much and all I hear is metal. :D

I'm reallly not sure... This is the first time I've heard of it, actually. I could ask the guy that did the sounddeadener showdown. He's on another forum I frequent and I've asked him a few questions. He's been nothing but extremely helpful.

I'd recommend running something like the Luxury Liner Pro from SecondSkin for the floor. Using an adhesive matt would be okay, but I think the pad would yield better results.

So after going and checking out the "peel and seal" i decided against it... I talked to Scosche and their stuff is rubber based, so i am going with that...

I think I used something like 4 or 5 sheets of the SecondSkin DamplifierPro per door. So that's about 8-10sq feet per door. The rear doors are a little smaller, so I'm sure it will take less.

I'm planning on getting the DamplifierPro shop pack, but that's me. I'm trying to convince other people to do their cars where I'll help them, if they let me keep the leftovers.

I'm sure the Scosche stuff is pretty decent. If you can get it for a dirt price, scoop it up!

All I've done is the front doors. The shut much more solidly now.

For the floor, I'll probably do a single layer of the DamplifierPro followed with some Spectrum roll on, then the LuxuryLinerPro... Overkill?

Probably. :D

It does deaden outside noise and when I have my system full tilt, it's not so loud outside. It doesn't do miracles, but I could tell a difference. The doors don't flex due to bass nearly as much.
It's worth doing a little at a time if you can't afford a bulk pack. Only reason I deadened my doors is because a buddy of mine hooked me up with 10 sheets of the Damp Pro for free.

What brand? I suggest SecondSkin's DamplifierPro. It's a little on the expensive side, but it's really good. There's a lot lesser expensive brands out there and I'm sorry I can't suggest any others. I've only used the DamplifierPro and I think it will be all I'll use.

And the stuffs at teh AutoZone actually working? I HIGHLY doubt it. It's probably just a rubberized undercoating, but I'm not positive. The Spectrum and Sludge from SecondSkin has a lot of stuff going on inside of it.
