Default 08 Fog Lights

Did anyone get the fog lights yet? If so, where do they mount on? Are they simple to install like the first gen?

They are located in the lower grill. On the five axis they are in the side vents.

Hmmm... i have to call my dealer now and ask him. i thought that all the fog lights were on the side vents.

either way, my dealer told me that the fog lights are not even in their parts system as of now. (well that was last week)

Fog lights go in the exact same position as the tC's fogs, lower grill, rally style (as I call it) and everything is prewired, including the switch, so I imagine it's rather easy to put them in.

Is the switch supposed to go into the little black rectangle to the right of the shifter in the automatic?

I'm curious what that spot is for.

It's on the left. I'll post a couple of camera pics in a minute.

Ok, here are some crappy phone pics (I might upgrade this year), but you get the idea:

OOH... i like those alot.

one more question. do they go on automatically when the lights are on like the 1st gen or do you have to press the button each time to turn them on?

The ipod connects under the armrest.

The little black rectangle on the gear shift assembly, just above the "P", is to unlock the tranny so that you can take it out of Park w/o putting your foot on the brake.

It looks like the Fog Light switch will stay in the "On" position until you turn them off.

Not that one. I'm talking about the one to the right of the gear shift assembly.

There's a picture of it here: http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-scion-xb/155058/ It's the same blank rectangle in the automatic as well.

That pic didn't show up for me on that link, but I think it's just a dead spot for a switch. Not sure what it would turn on, or it might just be for a future, unnamed accy.

who says 5axis is making those fogs?

Just curious because I haven't seen a thing about that. I really like those better, I think the front end needs something more to break it up
