you just need a relay to power them from the parking lights. im in the process of doing this, just trying to find the right relay.

where is the fog light relay? and can you take some pics of what your going to do? I was thinkin of just taking the wire from the relay that completes the circuit if the headlights are on and put that in to a piggy back fuse that is always hot.

Are you wanting to run fogs with the headlights off? If so, just be advised that doing so is a sure way to get a ticket in Ca. (Vehicle Code 24403[a])

Second, driving with your parking lights minus your heads is a second way to get a ticket.

And, yes im going to run with just fogs on. Ticket? I work at a hospital cops love me.

If they are flashing you with the stock projectors, you need to adjust them. The low beams have a cut off, the fogs do not, nor do the high beams.

In theory you need to find the signal wire to the relay from the headlights and supply the voltage to that when parking is on or for that matter you acc or efi circuit.

I think on the ax and xb its just grounding a wire to make them work. Theres a thread somewhere in the xa forum, however its relay was easy to find, difficult to install if you did the installation.

i have a relay comin so i will be able to do this mod. heres what i plan on doin.

here is the wiring that goes to the factory foglight switch.

the gray is ground, the white turns on the foglights when a positive 12v is applied, the green wire next to the white wire is the panel/parking light positive 12v and the far green is the headlight positive 12v wire that from the factory, turns the foglights with the headlights.

i plan on using the relay so when you turn the panel/parking lights, it will turn the foglights on. when you remove the underdash panel, you will see a distribution block with fuses and wiring, there is a big blue wire that is a constant 12v which i use to power the foglights. DO NOT try to use the green parking/panel light to power the white foglight wire without the relay. YOU WILL blow the fuse under the dash, its only a 7.5 amp fuse, ive already blown about 3 fuses testing this. i will do a write up and show pics once i do this mod.

Cant you tie the grey to the white since it is the power, and you only need it to complete the circit? Woudln't it enable you to have it on at all times and it would be easy :-D

you cant, the gray is ground, negative 12v. you need a positive 12v on the white wire to turn the foglights on. if you want, you can put a switch to the white wire to the blue thick wire on the fuse panel and then you can turn them on anytime you want. just make sure you put a fused link in between the blue wire and switch.

you can still use your factory switch, you just need to rewire it so its not powered by the headlights. when i do this, i will show how you can do this with the factory switch too.

well i ordered the relay i need to have the fogs turn on with the parking lights, but this happened today

i stopped by to see a friend and he pointed it out to me. i didnt know it was broke because earlier, i was at my brothers changing my oil. not sure what im gonna do, im not gonna spend another $100 on fogs. i might take them out and put another mesh grill piece on. not sure if the factory fogs will hold up to rocks, but these ebay/aftermarket ones didnt.
