also not going back to the paint an all, but they can come up with color by mixing colors that have already been out on cars for years to make new colors. That is how they come up with some of the odd end colors because they have already been tested.

I asked and this was the answer from Scion.
"The xB will probably arrive sometime late spring/early summer". Still not sure on color tho.
RS models in order will be the tC, xB and then the xD.

they eluded to this being a strong contender for the RS.
but also note that this was before the launch and things do change...lol

2009 Subaru scion collaboration
Tag Links: Subaru, Tribeca, Scion
As reported before, Scion is looking to add more models to its lineup. Ever since Scion was founded in 2003, it has stayed true to offering only three models. Well now Toyota is planning to use its influence in Subaru and may rebadge a Subaru Tribeca as Scion SUV to join the tC, xB and xA.
According Automotive News, a Japanese magazine shows a picture of a Scion “xTribeca” idea in its latest issue. A spy photo shows a Tribeca-like vehicle diguised for testing with a badge on the grille that resembles Scion’s.

I just spoke with Scion and was told that nothing official has been stated or planned for the 08 xB.
However, they did make it a point to say:
"typically, there has been a release series for each year..."
So then I asked if there was a release series for the 08 when would it show up.
I was told:
"typically, the release series shows up before the next year model"
Sooooooooooooo.....
Would that mean a 08 release would show up before the 09's roll out in late summer/early fall?
That would mean something within first/second quarter 08 right?
I'm going nuts on this because I'm about to pull the trigger for a new xB...trading my wife's current Release 3. But I'd hate to do so if the cooler series comes out a few months later...specially if it's that sweet Five Axis kit in gold...

I have my bet on Gold. I preference vehicles for our dealership, and one of the color options is Gold, however at this time we are not able to select it.
Probably have said too much, but there you go.

We should merge this with the other Realease series thread but,
The color code is 580 as has been said and is officially called: Gold Rush Mica. As of right now, the regional scion rep I spoke to is only commiting to a "late 4th quarter" arrival due to some "negotiations".
My guess all along has been that the RS will be a replica of the 5 axis Xb (body kit, and fog lights) shown at launch. (minus wheels of course)

If it's this 580 Gold, then yuck.
