2008 Scion Xb Factory installed Audio Visual Navigation
#21
I've had my new box for about 3 weeks and man o man I love the nav! I think it was worth the extra bucks, fits as if it was made for it (and it was). The sound features are awesome not only can I manually change the eq's and focus of sound in the car, but it cuts man. I listen to my tunes really loudly cause I'm already practically deaf and it reads what u listen to. .

The factory nav is cool, but...I have a windsheild mounted Garmin Nuvi 660 (available for about $600 or so). It works great....and I can use it in my other vehicles, even walking/hiking etc. Nice big screen, great audible directions even announces names of street to turn on..(not just "turn left").
How often will you use NAV? For me, it's very occasional, when I travel out of state or longer trips. Most of the time I don't need it, but when you do ...you REALLY need it. The list of restaraunts and nearest gas is very cool also.
Best thing about the portable is, I can take it with me rather than selling it with the car when I trade. And its not $2k.
My 2 cents.
