Wonder if they will let me take it around the course so I can smoke all of the (admittedly stock) xBs? LoL...doubt it.

 

I understand that the stock is building right now and they are prepping for release.

The Fiero was a mid-engine sports car from Pontiac in the 80s. Toyota released the MR2 to compete a few years later.

I've been e-mailing dealers around the L.A. area asking when they will have the new Xb in stock and have gotten different answers. One said that the launch has been postponed till June. Another said he will have some in two weeks. Most said mid-May. It all seems so vague. One dealer told me that they only know at the beginning of the month what deliveries they will get for that coming month. My 06 box got totalled and I don't know how long I can wait without my own.

 

My dealer said something about one going to LA with the May 8 shipment hitting Texas dont know what dealership but you might check back with them around the 10th

 

Estimates here are the 9th and 10th.

Rumor has it that they are trying to get stock so that every dealer gets one.

 

This is what a salesman in Anahiem e-mailed me today...
"Thank you for your email inquiry about the 2008 SCION xB. I have my Order's put in which SCION says they should be arriving next month. Right now they are trying to get a Least One per Dealer for Test Drives (not for sale) as per the SCION Covennant Agreement. My Dealer Rep. said that even though they are trying to get the One Per Dealer that the Factory is at Full Capacity Production so I am guessing right now the end of next month. Steve basically they told one thing then came back at us Dealer's with another. They are comming though and I have some Pre Sold and alot avialble....."

 

I was just in the Hollywood dealership picking up my new '06 1st gen. I inquired about the 2nd gen... "we should see a few in the next couple of months" is the answer I got.

So, expect some '08s to hit the Los Angeles, smog infested, bumper to bumper traffic streets by summer.

Is it just me... or does it seem that the 1st gen is a style for us guys and the 2nd gen would be something our women would roll? Not a big fan of the new gen.

 

Got my demo unit in allocation today. I expect it to hit the ground in about 3 weeks.
