Default 2011 XB in my Driveway!

Took delivery of a 2011 Sizzling Mica XB with Bluetooth, Wing & upgraded Sound System option. I wanted something safe, nice and reliable for my wife and newborn Son.

My wife & I really love the new front/rear end and upgraded interior, especially the exterior color. Rides really nice aswell. Hope to be a helpful part of this huge community.

I've been a 7yr Vet in the Neon SRT-4 forums which I sold last year and now have a 09 Phantom Black Pontiac G8 GT and a member of the G8 Board, so I won't be doing any of the typical noobie stuff, like knowing how to use the "Search Button"

The funny thing is that's the first thing I noticed, too. lol

Welcome to ScionLife! Glad you're not a Forum newbie.

Start your xB off with some new wheels and a drop. Then go from there.

Lmao, yeah thats my Bryant Jersey. I'm a hardcore Laker fan and now they're back to back Champs beating the hated celtics, woooohoooo! Artest was the key to winning this game with his 20pts and great D as the rest of the team stepping up late in the game to win.

Back on topic, thanks for the welcomes and comments. Rims are the next upgrade for sure. How does the Scion ride when dropped? Does it get really bouncy because I don't want my son bouncing all over the place lol?

It gets less bouncy, but you should also install a rear sway bar.

Clean out your garage so you have space for it.

The ride isn't bouncy as long as you get the right springs. The benefit of lowering the car is better handling and less of a choppy ride. Plus, the feeling of floating while driving down a highway is eliminated.

I chose Eibach Sportlines for a very nice stance. The ride height is leveled and the gap between the tire and fenders are eliminated. Since you have a wife and kid, I'd recommend a more moderate drop, such as the Tanabe NF210 springs. Those give you a good stance and will still give you exceptional handling. That drop is the safest because you won't worry about rubbing or anything of that nature.

Lowering you car improves your handling and also tells you in no uncertain terms that the parking curb is higher than your lower fender! I haven't lowered by car, but in some parking lots I have to be extra careful how I park.

LoL I know. I just moved in and with the Birth of my son, haven't had much time to organize it. I'll get to it eventually.

2009.5 GT w/Vararam Ram Air Intake Dyno Tuned. Stock it put down 308whp-312lbs. With Intake tune, it put down 341whp-362lbs. Hope ya like, pixs are with my cell phone, so pixs do it no justice with new 8 coat paint job and 3m Car Bra. Stock paint sucks. Rims where powder coated matte black.

Which springs make it bouncy? I haven't read of that happening on an xB2.
