37.1 mpg avg with the xB2..
#42
I drove out to vegas for CES from socal, and over the course of the trip got 30.8 average. That includes driving the strip and airport a few times which KILLED my MPG. I also kinda switched from "lets just cruise at 70" to "I don't care about MPG I just want to get home" driving with about 2 hours left on the return trip.

Sounds like mine!! (LoL)
I got my xB 3 weeks ago and my daily commute is all around the town driving. Seeing as how I just got it, I think I might be a little heavy of the pedal at times, so I'll wait for a better estimate once more time passes.
I just recently drove it to San Francisco and back.... With cruise control set at 70PMH on a flat freeway, the computer thingy said my avg was 26.2mpg.
*Oh, I also have an auto transmission w/ a cold air intake.

i get the same mileage in mine when the conditions are right:
1) warmer temp
2) if i fill up on the latter half of my 60+ mile commute (one way)
3) set the cruise at 65MPH and forget it
it usually drops off the next morning during the first half, but if i baby it, i can usually stay above 35mpg indicated over the entire tank (33 mpg calculated). lately i haven't had the patience, though. colder temps, a heavy right foot, winter blend gas, and cruising at 75 mean an indicated 26-28 mpg.
