Default Of all the bad luck!!

Just bought my '08 Scion about three weeks ago. Doesn't even have 900 miles on it yet. I was parked at church Sunday morning and wham! A huge limb about as big around as a CD and three feet long fell about 30 ft and smashed into the roof. Talk about being disgusted. Maybe the man upstairs is tryin to tell me it's time to go two tone! So beware about parkin' under old trees.

you cant help but fall in love with these cars.

I try not to park under trees, because of birds and sap, but falling limbs are a good reason also.

Sorry about your car.

now that i am tinkng of it, the chruch's insurance should cover things happening on their property (if it was on their property). they could cover the moey to fix it, then if you decide to go 2-toned, you only have to pay the difference.

Yeah it's not the greatest thing to happen, but oh well it happened and cryin about it won't make the dents disappear. The tree was actually on the other side of a fence, and honestly it's nobody's fault. Winds and lots of rain, should have seen it comin'. My deductable is $500 but another fella is gunna look at it and maybe he can fix it for less. Wish me luck. I'm thinkin silver and black with a large silver stripe down the hood.

Same thing happened to a new Corolla wagon I had. Made a broad shallow dent that covered the roof. The roof was going to be astronomical to repair and I did not want to claim it on my insurance. So I bought a roof rack and rub strips and installed them. They hid the problem if you did not look for it.

I'd try to get who ever's property it was on to pay for the damage. Same as if you were at home and your neighbor's tree falls on your car- it's their tree, they're liable for the damage. I'm surprised your insurance would let it go if the damage is much more than your deductible.

Actually, it should be cheaper to 2-tone, they don't have to match the Paint!!
