brightest solution for replacement back-up light (7440 bulb)

From another thread: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...8778&start=100
I haven't see any HID kit made for 7440 size, did you had to custom mount it??
I'm not even sure if it's practical to have HID for reverse light... since it's rarely used....
But I'm sure you can see the rear easily...

its not the prettiest looking bulb but it worked...it involved taking the hid bulb apart....not gunna lie i had to use some crazy glue for it to stay cuz i didnt want to retrofit the bulb in there...but it was a wierd process not exactly what i planned but it works...

it will be redone soon....just need to go back to my original plan...taking the old socket and drilling a hole through it and shaving the top and bottom so the bulb can go through and epoxy the hid to the socket and the clips will fit it...better....
like now i just crazy glued it to a socket i made and siliconed around the edges... but into the lens its snug ....i just want to make a cleaner looking install

well i did the test with stock wiring sometimes it turned on sometimes it didnt so i had to add a relay and found a 12 volt in the rear ....similar to a relay harness for a hid kit..
