Default Check page bottom 4!!Please Help! anyone with coilover knowledge.

So today the infamous K-sport coilovers where installed on the B.
Rather easy to put them on yet after two adjustments, the ride is god awful. Bumpy as hell and it quite frankly feels like I'm running on ******.

I slammed them in the beginning but after a quick ride i realized that it's wayyy too hop hop...so we raised them a bit and it's still ____ttty!

I feel like the actual height isn't much different (as they sit now) than my Hotchkis springs, yet driving in it for more than 4' makes you want to throw up.

Any advice? I kinda want to get rid of them already...wtf? Is it normal? I doubt it, [once I hit the Meadowbrook Pkwy I was doing 45mph]

Please....anyone?

update.
messed around with the dampering and started at 8 clicks from soft to stiff and still too bouncy, ended up at 3 clicks from full stiff to soft and that chit is still bouncy....(slightly better but still no bueno)

What The Fackkk!

Sorry, I don't have any coilover experience. But wait, what?

yeah the ksports are bumpy and bouncy, you'll either have to get rid of them or live with them

lmao... ******...

Yeah that's any coilover in that range (ksport,D2,raceland,etc.).

Tein, B&G, HKS... now that's a good ride.

I had Ksports on my 240 though and while the ride was stiff as hell it was perfect for that car.

Believe me, I've been in a bouncy ride, this is just dumb bounce....we just never adjusted the dampering. :/

To properly lower, you run higher spring rates, hence a harsher ride. Anything that lowers and is not stiffer is complete crap (and there are tons of crap setups out there).

If you mean bouncy.. as in it bounces up and down a few times when you hit a bump, the dampers are shot or not properly designed for the springs.

these things are brand new and the car is beyond bouncy, I'm actually curious as to how much the ride will change once the dampering is adjusted.

Coilovers are going to normally be a much more stiffer ride. I had a couple brands on my last car that were fully adjustable. Megans and Ksports. On the softest setting they were way to bouncy. On the hardest setting they were way to soft. I set it right in between.

How adjustable are you ksports? Fully or just ride height? My best bet would be to hange the spring rate some to help with the stiffness. But stiffness is generally in the shock not the spring. But it does affect it some. I could be wrong tho?

32 way adjustable, should just put it right in the middle and call it a day.

in the middle they are still a bit stiff/bouncy. but try it out, make clearance on the piece above the dampening **** so its easier to adjust. that way you dont have to take out the strut every time u want to change the dampening

That plastic POS that holds the water right behind the hood?
It's going to be annoying to get to that.....
You said 8 clicks, aren't Ksports 32 way adjustable? shouldn't it be a little more than 8 clicks?
I really don't know how those things work.
