im on falken 592's 205/55/16s right now, and i mean my car is pretty stiff some what bouncy but nothing to crazy the ride is tolerate-able

There really is no solution to it man... that's a just the KSport ride...

 

ummm I've been talking to a buddy of mine (Macavely) and he's been shedding some light on this for me.

Apparently we never re-tighten the 3 screws after the car was set on the floor and we didn't even touch the main screw that sits in the middle. Now in that middle screw is where the little key goes in order to adjust the dampering, does that screw need to get tighten?

 

If anything I'd just want some $$ back, no way I'd get another set :p
I refuse to believe that the ride is that bad, I definitely did something wrong, tomorrow morning I'll re-tighten all the screws.

 

The screws definitely need to be tightened, no doubt, but if they were LOOSE loose you would definitely know, as in every time you hit a bump there would be a loud knock of the mounts colliding with the shock towers.

Lower profile tires might take away the bounce, but that's going to make it more harsh.

Make sure you have pretension on the springs as well, the coilovers are designed to be adjusted by the bottom mounts.

The only other thing that might work is some different springs on the coilovers with a different rate.

 

I was looking for a "one stop shop", changing springs would be out of the question for me. If that's the issue then these suckers are up for sale, we'll see what tomorrow holds for me and I'll take it from there.

Dont refuse to believe anything ... there are more poorly designed springs/coilovers out there than good ones by a large margin. People swear by and run tein s-tech on the tC all the time, and there is not one design parameter on those that is right to handle well ... too low, WAY too soft, on the bump stops in any hard corner, etc Many companies design to what the typical tuner kid wants: slam it with soft springs so I dont have to deal with a harsher ride... Not saying that is for sure your issue, but it would not surprise me one bit in this market.

 

Damn pete idk wtf is going on....lets try putting it all the way on the hard setting and see how it is...i was reading above and saying about riding on the sway bar....it could be...bc we had to jack up to attach the sway idk just throwing stuff out there

 

Hey now, my xB s-techs are amazing. I auto-x and they handle really well, even after 4+ years of use. tC's might be different though.

as far as the sway.....which bolt was that? I don't remember messing with it...

 

so after a quick look with my neighbor, we realized that we bummed the installation...it's all out of wack -______-

either adjust them or sell them....hmmmm

 

might as well adjsut them since you already have them on

After going this far, you can't give up without sorting out the proper adjustment. It just wouldn't be fair to the Ksports or your xB.

 

Wednesday afternoon, adjusting party to get this ____ in working order and finally slapping them wheels on.
I guess it takes a bit of patience, an attribute which I lack, on the highest level.
