Chicago anyone?

Chicago anyone?
My jury out until the Chicago Auto show. After 180000 on my Corolla, all I can say is I NEED A CHANGE!
I lived in Chicago for 13 years and know the streets and alleys like the bumper of my Corolla (chipped up by living there). Be happy to hang with the Scion crew.
I could use advice about the current xB, which I have driven and love, vers the next gen.
Cheers!

I miss Chicago rap
@ ten 56 in Chicago there was a group of South Siders that got together to rap about anything from life in the Talor projetct, to excess bling. Pass the mic. DJ spining in the back drop. $5 cover Saturday nights. There are 2 other local fav bars a walk away.
We wear Scion gear and talk up the unvailing.
I booked my flight from Seattle using Kayak.com @ 238 out the door

Anyone else feel a little cheated from the Miami thing?
To me, it sounds like Scion was not ready to show the thing and they made it out like they were. I mean, NO spec release and sup with the NO pictures or you will be sent to Abu Grab? Will the new xB change or something.
On the flip side, after working for a tool and die shop that did not meet there standards for ANYTHING, I will wait. We did stuff for every motor company but Honda and Toyota.
I love my 96 Corolla DX with the old 1.8. For 11 years b4 I drove the xB and now I am torn between the xB & t2b like many. Miami made it worse
Old Gertrude’s going to get jealous when I come back smelling like new car.
Chicago will provide.
-More real street atmosphere
-Chi-chicks
-Scion will have this t2b / xB straightened out by then
-Pictures will flow like the murky backwards Chicago River

I will be there from feb 14-16 or so along with some other salespeople from the KC region. we're all going up together with our reps to see the new xB. some of us for the first time, and the rest of us for the first time sober, lol. we're flying from all over the place and have a ton of stuff to do, but the main question is . . .
where do we party on the evening of the 14th and 15th? and who's comin with me?!

As far as where to party, I don't think you'll have to worry about that. I'm sure Scion will have every moment filled with stuff to do and places to be. The booze will flow pretty freely as well.
Damn, I love Toyota/Scion!

I am set for the 8th to the 10th also. I think we are supposed to get the itinerary sometime next week...

transportation - green line
http://www.transitchicago.com/maps/maps/2006C.html
Enclosed is a map of the South side. The new green line is the closest, cheapest and most fun way to get to the McCormick PL
For a couple of bucks you can get anywhere in Chicago.

the Soldier Field parking lot is usually available and its not such a long walk to the show. I went last year and for sure going again this year whereas I am actually in the market for a new car this time, and the show will give me a good blanket statement of the compact car market....perhaps even save me a trip or 2 to various dealers in the summer

I'm pretty sure I'm going this year and I don't know Chicago very well. Can we get a list of possible parking locations, distance from McCormick, and price? It would be very helpful!
On a side note, will the new Scion models just be on display or will there be an unveiling on any particular day?
