Default "clicking" sound in the front end

I have a '13 XB and I hear a clicking sound in the front end that sounds like a bad CV joint. It happens when I'm backing up. Dealer told me it's the self adjusting brakes. Anyone else hear of that?

I'm a master Hyundai tech and I have never heard of self adjusting disc brakes. Drum brakes are self adjusting. It could be a cv but it usually doesn't only happen when backing up.

You got it pal. Move the CV boot just a bit or take a lot at them in general and make sure they aren't torn. With this new of a car I doubt it's CV honestly, but that's an easy check though and an easy fix. If your boot is torn or not torn, just throw some grease on there and call it a day. Either way, I doubt it's your CV joints. It's your brakes. It's an indicator of self adjustment. Go in reverse but lightly drag the brake and it should go away. Either way, it's your brakes. You're good to go like Taco Bell.

I read up on it. It's your abs pump. Normal. I've never experienced it in mine but it's just the pump priming I guess

Thanks. I doubt it's a CV joint too, it's just the closest sound I could think of to describe it. Just never heard that brake explanation before...

You turn it off while rolling backwards? Did you read the original post?
