Anyone experiencing any louder than normal A/c compressor noise? Sometimes at stops mine almost seems to knock and maybe some slight idling issues.

thoughts? My first Toyota/Scion so not sure what's normal

 

I drive one as a demo car and I just started noticing that in mine. I am having the service department look at mine tomorrow and I will let you know what they said about mine.

I also noticed this but am unsure if its the same thing. Whenever I was stopped usually in drive the rpm's would drop to a low level and the car would shake or shudder(like sometimes in first gen if you switched the intake out) and you would hear a knocking noise. Its basically the hood latch knocking against the spring to lock your hood down(at least thats the knocking noise I hear)

If you go up to ur hood you can press the front of the hood down about an inch or so and hear it. The compressor noise is usual. It depends how long you drive how you drive and usually if you use your a/c a decent amount it will kick on more frequently; doesn't really sound like an issure but then again I am not a tech.
